We took our first trip ever to Lake Acworth in Acworth, Georgia this past Sunday 9/28/2014 and had a blast. We enlisted the expertise of Adam Powers who fishes this lake often and definitely knows his stuff.
After arriving a little before dawn, we spent five hours on the lake. The fishing was slow, but we each landed a nice quality fish. My son caught the first fish of the day which was a nice spot.
A little later in the morning I landed my biggest bass from a yak yet, a 5.5 lb largemouth.
We had to take off at noon for another event, but hope to get back here as soon as we can. Maybe we can sneak a trip in this weekend before we try some saltwater action down at the Merritt Island Boondoggle!
